We are long-time dog owners with multiple dogs, and we thought we understood dogs and dog behavior. Then we added Teeghan to our pack! He did things that didn’t make sense.  He didn’t honor the “dog hierarchy” of the house and in general, just caused problems that we didn’t know how to fix.

Elissa came in and helped us to notice his cues before he crossed over to the dark side. Once we noticed those cues, we then learned how to find even earlier cues from him before he reached the point of aggression. We’ve worked through mirror-reflection aggression, lunging to bite with contact towards people who make sudden movements, and bullying of resident dogs. We also learned what WE were doing to enable these behaviors from him and how to restore peace within the family. Elissa helped us to help Teeghan and she made sure we understood the WHY behind what was not working and what will work and how to move beyond just managing the unwanted behavior. We are fortunate to have her positive guidance for dogs in Ohio.  (10/2022)
