BRILHO (Daphne C.)

Brilho finished his CD today in Dayton from Novice A with a score of 191!! (01/12/2023)

BEATRICE (Don W.)

It wasn't pretty; I was beyond nervous; Beatrice briefly eyed a dog outside the ring, but WE QUALIFIED!!!! THANK YOU ALL for your encouragement. (12/03/2022)

KAMI (Kat B.)

Well, we didn’t chicken out this morning, and the munchkin did O.K.!! First trial 199, second trial 200! Both HIT! Hmmm, guess Elissa knows what she’s talking about! (11/12/2022)

PEANUTS (Kathy G.)

When Peanut and I started our journey toward a CDX, he had no interest at all in retrieving.  Elissa had no doubt we could solve that problem and of course, she always has a plan.  He learned to retrieve and all the other exercises, but we hadn’t entered any trials yet when the pandemic happened, and life went on hold.  Then Peanut has emergency back surgery in November 2020.  He went through months of recovery and physical therapy and we carefully continued training. By April 2021 he was ready to enter Open A for the first time. In April 2022 he earned his 3rd leg with first place for his CDX title.  It was really exciting that Elissa was also at the trial to experience the joy with us! (4/2022)

PEANUTS (Kathy G.)

Peanut’s first time in the ring was at the Dachshund Nationals in 2018.  I had set a goal to have Peanut ready to enter that year because it was local and maybe the only time I would get to participate in a Nationals.  He amazed me when he earned his first Novice A leg with a score of 197.5 for first place and High in Trial.  The best thing was that Elissa was there to encourage us and to help celebrate the results of all our hard work.  The next day he earned his second leg with a score of 186.5 for first place and Reserve High in Trial.  He finished his CD title later that year with a score of 195 and another first place.

TEDDYB (Judy R.)

With Elissa’s training, Teddyb went from an out-of-control dog to a nationally-ranked UKC obedience dog and for almost nine years, one of the few therapy dogs allowed to visit patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
